5 <br />The Inter-Basin Area Report - 1979 <br />by <br />Thom HardyI <br />The Inter-Basin Area of Nevada encompasses portions of the Central, <br />Colorado and Death Valley Regions. The fish fauna is distributed within 21 <br />valleys and is represented by three (3) families and eleven (11) genera <br />containing fourteen (14) described species. This report is intended to provide <br />quantitative and qualitative data on the distribution and abundance of each <br />species and subspecies throughout the Inter-Basin Area as of November 24th, <br />1979 and was compiled with the cooperation of the United States Fish and Wild- <br />life Service, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, Nevada Depart- <br />ment of Wildlife and personnel of the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.
