The experiment was designed to provide information relative
to the probable survival of Gambusia in Salt Creek. No attempt
was made to evaluate other survival parameters. Further studies
are needed to make these determinations.

The National Park Service, in furtherance of its policy to secure
and maintain natural habitats by control and/or elimination of
exotic species, is continuing to work toward the removal of mos-
quitofish from all waters in Death Valley.
