ACKNOWLEDGMENTS <br />This study could not have been conducted without the assistance of many <br />individuals who participated in collecting both biological and hydrological data. <br />George Smith, Regional Hydrologist of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, <br />Denver, Colorado, and his staff provided hydrology support. Streamflow records <br />of the Gunnison River were provided by Bob Jenkins, Joe Sullivan, and. Mike <br />Whiteman, U. S. Geological Survey, Grand Junction, and Joe Rubalcaba, Coll <br />Stanton, and Tom Stokes of the Western Colorado Area Office of the U. S. Bureau <br />of Reclamation, Grand Junction. Jerry Thrush, Colorado Department of Water <br />Resources, Montrose, provided flow records of the Redlands Canal. Chuck <br />Gallagher and Blake Bailey of the Western Colorado Area Office of the U. S. <br />Bureau of Reclamation, Grand Junction, surveyed river cross sections. Chuck also <br />computerized and summarized hydrology-survey data. Fish and Wildlife Service personnel that assisted with field <br />collections included Mike Baker, Bruce Bonar, Terry Ireland, Richard Krueger, <br />Chuck McAda, Mike Montagne, Toby Mourning, Doug Osmundson, Greg Taylor, and Mike <br />Tucker.
