This study was funded by the Recovery Implementation Program for Endangered
Fish Species in the Upper Colorado River Basin. This Program is a joint effort
of the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U. S. Bureau of Reclamation, Western Area
Power Administration, states of Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming, Upper Basin water
users, environmental organizations, National Park Service, and the Colorado River
Energy Distributors Association.
Recovery Implementation Program for the Endangered Fishes of the Upper
Colorado River Basin, U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service, P. 0. Box 25486, Denver
Federal Center, Denver, Colorado 80225.
DISCLAIMER
The opinions and interpretation of the data expressed in this report are
those of the author and do not necessarily reflect the views of the Fish and
Wildlife Service or the Recovery Implementation Program.
Mention of trade names°, commercial products, or firms and businesses does
not constitute endorsement or recommendation for use by the author, the Fish and
Wildlife Service, U. S. Department of Interior, or the Recovery Implementation
Program.
Throughout this report, a combination of English and metric measurements
are used according to their predominate usage for specific data categories and
what are meaningful to many readers. English equivalents are used to identify
distances within and along river drainages (river miles) and measurements related
to river flow (cubic feet per second [cfs]) and river volume (acre-feet). Metric
units are most commonly used for biological work associated with the native and
nonnative fishes and they were retained for this report.
Suggested citation:
Burdick, B.
