and size at release into the river. Unfortunately, results of such
releases may not be realized for several years.
7. Post-stocking Evaluation. Recapture stocked fish at 4 to 6-week
intervals to assess survival, location, body condition, growth, and
determine if any complications related to handling and tagging
procedures occurred. Compare body condition of recaptured fish to the
time of stocking. If the fish had been internally radiotagged,
healing of the incision could also be evaluated.
