Fish probably did not grow during either winter, though no samples <br />were obtained in early spring to confirm this. By early June 1987, ap- <br />proximately 10 months after stocking, mean length had more than doubled <br />and mean weight had increased 10 fold (Fig. 5 and Appendix Table 7). <br />Growth continued through August. There was an apparent reduction in mean <br />length and weight in late September that is not easily explained; sample <br />size was relatively large (n m 25).
