See text for descriptions of habitat types. Most samples were contaminated with specimens from habitats adjacent
to the target habitat. Those in which such contamination was great or target habitats were intentionally
combined are net tabulated; however, because of the large numbers of samples involved (most dip net and some seine
collections) and similarity of some characteristics such as water velocity, the combined backwater and shoreline
collections are given as a separate category and include only those which could not be designated as either back-
water or shoreline.
b. See maps included in this report for location of collection sites; only sites from which pertinent samples are
included in this table are designated.
C. Larvae and juveniles less than or equal to 20 mm TL (520) were probably spawned within about five weeks of the
date of collection. Specimens greater than 20 mm TL (20<) include older larvae and younger-of-the year juveniles
as well as older juveniles and adults.
d, * ¦ < 0.5%; - = no specimens collected.
e. The identity of the smaller specimens as catostomid hybrids is tentative. In addition, a few of the smaller
specimens identified as pure species may in fact be hybrids.
