The study was divided into two segments according to
area of work. The first segment dealt with data collection and findings in
the Gunnison River. The preliminary report dated September, 1976, presented
the majority of these data. This, the second and final report, includes
that data presented in the first report and also updates and finalizes the
Gunnison River segment. In addition, the main Colorado River segment is
presented in its entirety.
In order to implement the fish sampling portion of the study, N.F.R.I.
0 twined fish collecting permits from the appropriate agencies. To collect
fish in Colorado, a State of Colorado Scientific Collectors Permit was obtained.
To collect federally classified endangered fish species, a special Federal
Collecting Permit from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service was obtained. To
collect fish from the state of Utah, a special Utah Collecting Permit was
obtained. Copies of these permits showing sampling restrictions are attached
as Appendix A to this report.
(2)
