BLM Interest <br />a) Inventory - the only potential public domain lands in the <br />historical range of the Greenback cutthroat trout involve <br />the Arkansas River high tributaries in the Canon City Dis- <br />trict. Special interest should be given to fish inven- <br />tories in the Huerfano River watershed not only for the <br />fish themselves but also for potential streams for re- <br />stocking from existing populations. <br />b) Management - If and when stocks and acceptable habitats <br />are located, the state DOW will be asked to assist in <br />the development of a Habitat Management Plan to maintain <br />stock purity and increase population size. Eventually, <br />several isolated streams in diverse portions of the <br />drainage should be managed solely for the perpetuation <br />of this subspecies. <br />B.
