Individuai tasks identified were:
~ 1) Identify source areas of centrarchids and channel catfish in the Ouray reach.
2) Remove target species.
3) Evaluate effectiveness and feasibility of reducing negative interactions with fish removal
3a) Determine whether removal of target species is feasible. Determine if geomorphology
(compare between reaches) affects the feasibility of removal efforts.
3b) Determine if native species respond to large-scale removal efforts (e.g., increased relative
~ abundance, enhanced survivorship and growth). Identify the negative interactions caused
by target species.
3c) Determine the longevity of removal, in terms of relative abundance and density of the
target nonnative species.

4) Complete a final report with recommendations on the effectiveness/feasibi'h'ty of large scale
removal on target species within these reaches.
~ 5) Complete a Public Involvement Plan during the beginning stages of this project lIi order to
identify a~i address the public's concerns.

i

~ 3
