ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
' We would like to thank the project partners, Roaring Fork Conservancy, Colorado River
Water Conservation District and Ruedi Water and Power Authority, for funding this
study on the Fryingpan and Roaring Fork rivers. These three entities have provided the
support necessary to conduct this study on this treasured resource. Additional funding for
' this study has been generously provided by: Trout Unlimited's Embrace-A-Stream
Program, Homestake Partners, General Service Foundation, and Eagle County. Kristine
1 Crandall (Roaring Fork Conservancy) has been extremely helpful and instrumental in the
coordination of this study. Paul Hempel and Cindy Bingham (Roaring Fork
' Conservancy) have also provided insight and aid to the project. Thanks go to Roy Palm,
Dick Stahura and Bart Chandler for allowing access to the Fryingpan River on their
property. These individuals were willing to sit down and discuss the state of the
Fryingpan River as only a landowner can. Tim Heng has been instrumental in acquiring
' access to the river as well as providing valuable information on the Fryingpan River in
general. The U.S. Forest Service gave permission that allowed portions of the study to be
' conducted on National Forest lands.

i
i~]

i
' Fryingpan-Roaring Fork Literature Review February 27, 2002
Miller Ecological Consultants, Inc.
