1 Fish Collection Methods
' Fish were collected by electrofishing using a Smith-Root Model 15B Programmable Output
Waveform backpack shocker. Each site was surveyed in an upstream direction for a distance
of approximately 1000 feet to obtain habitat specific data from several habitat types. A two
' pass removal method was used to obtain data for population estimates. Data collected as part
of the fish surveys included location of collection (township, range, section), habitat type, area
sampled and effort. Biological data collected at each study site included: species identification,
' enumeration, individual fish length and weight, and presence of external parasites.
