1 <br />differences in habitat use among these species would probably be of little <br />practical value in management, however, because flows cannot be closely <br />regulated and the effect of a particular flow on habitat availability differs <br />among locations along the river. <br />Regardless of the outcome of these and similar investigations of habitat <br />' use, it will still remain for us to understand which of the sympatric species <br />' present important, problems for Colorado squawfish. Rigorously controlled <br />laboratory studies may be necessary.
