DEFICIENCY 3: The temperature model uses data that were collected with some
effect of error.. This error could have a significant effect of the accuracy of
model output. We need to identify ways to test/validate the temperature model
to determine model accuracy and reliability. The temperature model should be
expected to include other important habitat types (e. g.: backwaters?.
RECOMMENDATION: Testing/validation of the model requires testing of the __
following hypothesis: Output of the temperature model (predicted temperaturesi
accurately describes observed (measured) river temperatures over a variety of
discharge conditions.
RECOMMENDATION: Data/research needed to test the above hypothesis include the
following:
