DEFICIENCY 3: The model is a theoretical habitat models it is untested in its
ability to predict important biological parameters that might be indices of the
status of populations of endangered species te:g., relative abundance of larvae
and other age-0 life stages, relative abundance of adults). We must identify
approaches to testing/validating the model using meaningful biological indices.
RECQMMENDATION: Testing/validation of the model requires testing of the
following hypothesis: model output te.g., predicted quantities of certain
important habitats) is directly related to important biological indices of the
populations of the endangered fishes te.g., relative densities of age-0 fish,
of adult fish).
