Purpose: To collect temperature data from CRFP field offices. in Vernal, Utah,
and Grand Junction, Colorado; format data for incorporation into data bases
and models. Provide data to biologists -for backwater study and calibration of
temperature models. Additional data collected from USGS Water Resource Data
annual summaries 1979-1983.
D. Sample Design/Methods: Degree-days for Maybell and Stateline gauges were calculated
_by using average of maximum daily temperatures and geometric mean temperatures.
h da were then subtracted from absolute temperatures specified
by field biologists. The absolute temperatures were specs ie as and i20°C.
A~ri~mulatinn of Degree-Days started when the water temperature reached 12°C.
E.
