Five Hypothesis Testing studies were proposed for FY-1992, they
include;
Task 6. Movements and habitat use of channel catfish and carp in
the upper Green River basin.
Task 7. Availability, habitat characteristics, and fish use of
spring habitats for Colorado squawfish and razorback
sucker in the Green River (Old Charley Wash wetlands
restoration/demonstration project).
Task B. Non-native fish management
Task 9. Integration of field and laboratory studies on aspects of
early life biology and development of selected fishes in
the Green River system
Task 10. An evaluation of fish predation in backwater habitats in
the Green River.
Descriptions of each task are briefly outlined in Attachment
B, detailed Scope of Work statements for each study are given in
Attachment C.
HABITAT NANAGBMNT RESEARCH/RESTORATION
The Habitat Management component was added in 1992 for the purpose
of testing and refining specific management concepts and projects,
particularly as they relate to flow management. Habitat
restoration will-likely be important for the recovery of species
that depend on seasonally flooded habitats that are no longer
available. One task has been proposed under the Habitat
Management/Restoration component for 1992,
Task 11. Wetlands restoration/demonstration project at old Charley
Wash, Ouray National Wildlife Refuge, Utah.
A description of the task is briefly outlined in Attachment
B, the detailed Scope of Work statement is given in Attachment C.
A6
