Diversion Dam. The I-70 highway is on the south side of the river and the
diversion canal is on the north side of the river at this location. The
Bureau favors construction of a selective fish passage structure on the north
side of the river at the Price-Stub Diversion Dam because there is available
space for construction and access is possible on that side of the river.
However, this land is in private ownership so obtaining permission may be
difficult to obtain and probably will be costly.
Many of the nonnative fishes in the Colorado River below the Price-Stub
Diversion Dam are absent in the river reach above the Price-Stub Dam. The
fish that are absent above the dam are identified by a hyphen (-) in Table 1.
