A genetic refuge is maintained in Lake Mohave over a 3-year <br />period beyond delisting. <br /> <br />2. Two self-sustaining populations (e.g., mainstem and/or <br />tributaries) are maintained over a 3-year period beyond downlisting, <br />starting with the first point estimate acceptable to the Service, such <br />that for each population: <br />a. the trend in adult (age 4+; >400 mm TL) point estimates <br />does not decline significantly, and <br />b. Mean estimated recruitment of age-3 (300-399 mm TL) <br />naturally produced fish equals or exceeds mean annual <br />adult mortality, and <br />c. Each point estimate exceeds 5,800 adults (MVP). <br />Management Strategies: These Recovery Goals will be met <br />through the use of Strategy 1: Augmentation and Strategy 2: <br />Isolated Habitats. <br /> <br />H <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />11 <br />LAKE HAVASU SUBUNIT <br />Background Information <br />Location: Mohave and La Paz Counties AZ, San Bernardino County CA, <br />Clark County, NV <br />Geographic Boundary: Davis Dam to Parker Dam <br />Description of Habitats Available: This reach contains an 85 km riverine <br />reach between Davis Dam and the upper end of the 55-km long Lake <br />Havasu. Flows in the reach are controlled by releases from Davis Dam <br />and have significant hourly and daily fluctuations that attenuate with <br />distance downstream. Riverine habitats are mostly runs, with few <br />backwaters or coves. Much of the riverine shoreline has been modified by <br />bank stabilization and channelization. Large backwater marsh areas, <br />including Topock Marsh, are present at the lower end of the riverine <br />26 <br />
