They occurred in 24%, 15% and 24% of the average of five tows during the <br />first three sample weeks <br /> <br />Benthos <br /> <br />Average invertebrate densities ranged from a low of 6.52 organisms/cm2 (65,200/m2) on <br />the first sample date in Millard to a high of56.22 organisms/cm2 (562,200/m2) on the <br />final sampling date in Holeman (Table 2). The Copepod category is represented by all three life stages: adult, <br />copepodid and nauplius. Minor taxa, ('Other'), while diverse, comprised an average of <br />only 3% of the total core samples in Millard and Holeman. They include representatives <br />from Chironomidae, Oligochaeta, Ostrocoda, Cladocera, Ceratopogonidae, Tardigrada, <br />Plecoptera, Hydracarina and Simuliidae. Minor taxa in Anderson were represented by <br />slightly higher percentages, with a high of 11 % on the 22 May sample. <br /> <br />8 <br />
