Origins and Histories

Wild females captured from Etter's Pond in 1993.

Wild male captured in the Grand Valley in 1993.

Wild female captured in San Juan River arm of Lake Powell in 1990.
Fish was held at Ouray National Fish Hatchery until transferred to
Horsethiefin 1994.

Wild males captured in San Juan River arm of Lake Powell in 1990.
Fish were held at Ouray National Fish Hatchery until transferred to
Horsethief in 1994.

Wild female captured in Colorado River arm of Lake Powell in 1990.
Fish was held at Ouray National Fish Hatchery until transferred to
Horsethief in 1994.

Wild male captured in Colorado River arm of Lake Powell in 1990. Fish
was held at Ouray National Fish Hatchery until transferred to Horsethief
in 1994.

Wild fish (five females and 6 males) captured from the Green River in
1996 and held at Ouray National Fish Hatchery until transferred to
Horsethiefin 1997.

Offspring (F 1) of San Juan River arm of Lake Powell fish then held at
Ouray National fish Hatchery (now held at Horsethief). The fish were
split up and sent to Bellvue State Research Hatchery and Colorado State
University until 1993 when they were transferred to Wahweap State Fish
Hatchery. In 19% the fish were trdllSferred to Horsethief.

Offspring (F 1) of three wild fish held at Horsethief from the upper
Colorado River and one Etter Pond fish, and two lots from Ouray. The
fish were sent to Bellvue State Research Hatchery and were held there
until transferred to Horsethiefin 1995.

Offspring (Fl) ofbroodstock held at Horsethief. Fish were reared at 24-
Road Hatchery until transferred to Horsethief in 1997.

Offspring (F 1) of wild Colorado River fish spawned at Dexter National
Fish Hatchery. Transferred to Horsethiefin 1992. Wild adult fish were
returned to the river in 1992.

Offspring (F2) offish held at Dexter National Fish Hatchery. Spawned
naturally in pond. Transferred to Horsethief in 1995.

Offspring (F 1) of wild fish captured at Black Rocks in 1995 and held at
Horsethief. Spawned naturally in pond Wild fish have since died.
