Knowledge of the Recovery Program

Over three-quarters (77%) of all respondents had not heard of the Recovery Program for the
Endangered Fish of the Upper Colorado River Basin (Figure 19), Only 23% were aware of the
program, Given the number of governmental programs that exist, such findings are as
expected,

More of the elected officials had heard of the recovery program (42%) than anglers (26%),
environmental group members (19%), or the general public (12%) (Figure 20). Because
elected officials are directly involved with water conservation activities, such findings are also
as expected,
