<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />2-1 <br /> <br />2.0 METHODS <br /> <br />2.l Trip Dates <br /> <br />A total of 6 collecting trips were conducted through Cataract Canyon in <br />1985, including 2 in July, 2 in August, 1 in September, and 1 in October. <br />Each tri p was schedul ed for 7 days, incl ud ing 1 to 2 days of travel and 5 to <br />6 days on the river. <br /> <br />Launc h sites were al ternated between Potash on the Colorado Ri ver and <br />Mineral Bottom on the Green River after the second trip to enable sampl ilng <br />of the respective rivers above the confluence. A 1 ist of launch and takeout <br />dates (time spent on the river), as well as launch sites, for each trip is <br />presented in Table 2-1. <br /> <br />Table 2-1. Each trip consisted of 6 to 8 peOplE!. <br />The core crew on each trip was 2 biologists from USBR, 2 boatmen/biologists <br />from ERI (Ecosystems Research Institute), and 2 boatmen/cooks from TAG (Ta9- <br />A-Long Tours). Other organizations represented included Utah Division of <br />Wildlife Resources (UIl4R), and Utah Division of Parks and Recreation (UDPR). <br />A complete list of all personnel on each trip and the organization <br />represented is presented in Tabl>e 2-2. <br />
