Sampling of backwaters in spring should continue in order of determine numbers of age-O Colorado
squawfish and assess overwinter survival.

2. Efforts should be made to determine habitat use and movement of age-O Colorado squawfish during
the winter.

3. The numbers of age-O and juvenile Colorado squawfish being transported into Lake Powell by
variable winter flows, spring runoff, and rain spates should be determined by sampling of the inflow
region.

4. Backwaters of various depths should be sampled in fall and monitored during winter and spring to
assess ice depth and available free water.

5. Observed decreases in fall to spring densities of age-O Colorado squawfish should be related to flow
data.

6. Fall to spring decreases in CPE should be compareq for age-O Colorado squawfish < 35 mm TL vs
age-O > 35 mm TL. ' .
