<br />structure (YOY.juveniles. sub-adults) will be determined on the basis of fecundity and survival of <br />age groups. \Vhere habitat carrying capacity is deemed inadequate to support a minimum etTective <br />population size. the value of that sub-population as one component of a metapopulation will be <br />evaluated. <br /> <br />Numbers oftish per mile will be based on the numbers of each age group needed to maintain genetic <br />viability and diversity within minimum inbreeding rates and low probability of extinction. <br />Population geneticists will be consulted in order to determine reasonable, realistic, and effective <br />minimum effective population size. The period of time over which these sub-populations are to <br />maintain the target number and st.ructure will be identified as part of the recovery goal. <br /> <br />Task 5: Reports <br /> <br />The product of this project will be one principal report (Table 3) that presents recovery goals by <br />subpopulation and associated rationale for goal development and maintenance. <br /> <br />Table 3.
