PRRIP - ED OFFICE 6 09/12/2008 PLATTE RIVER RECOVERY IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAM Proposed WAC Meeting Schedule The ED's Office recommends establishing a WAC meeting schedule. For calendar year 2009, we propose establishing a standing meeting on the of the 3ra Tuesday of the month alternating from the GC meetings (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, Nov). Meetings can be canceled with advance notice, but a standing day (please reserve the entire day to allow for travel if necessary) will be reserved in case it is needed. These meeting will vary in length and the proposed schedule attempts to strike a balance between having the benefit of face-to-face meetings, which require travel for a large group and potentially risk less participation, versus having conference calls which may not be as productive, particularly if everyone is calling in on separate lines which makes it difficult to have fluid discussions. We will generally plan meetings that are 2 hours or less as group conference calls and longer meetings face-to-face. Group conference calls would generally convene at two locations, one in Nebraska (e.g. Kearney or Lincoln) and one in northern Colorado (e.g. Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District). Meetings with presentations/workshops provided by consultants will most likely be scheduled for a central location as we've done in the past, so that the majority of the group will be together with individuals calling in as-needed. Locations and meeting format (face-to-face, group conference call, individual conference call) may be adjusted, based on agenda. A draft schedule and general agenda items is provided below.
