Walcher Executive Director Rod Kuharich C4VC8 Diredor Dan McAuliffe Depury Oirector Subject: Contract Amendment for Administrative Support to the Governance Committee and Executive Director for the Platte River Endangered Species Partnership Attached please find a contract amendment to the above referenced agreement. This agreement is administratively complex because it involves the States of Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, the United States Department of Interior, a.nd the Contractor, Nebraska Community Foundation. Therefore, a brief clarification of the subject Amendment should be helpful. - Please accept my agology for only having one original signature. I understand that Central Accounts and Control will retain the copy with all original signatures for your official records. Since all the parties have diverse interests and processes it has been extxemely difficult to obtain a consensus on routing and administrative process. Specifically, you will note that the format of t,his Atnendment is a"kybrid" wiYh the fedetal boilerplate up front followed by Colorado's format in Attachment C-1. I would also like to briefly clarify the budget summary provided in Attachment N-1. There is considerable information regarding the various parties commitments and the summary also includes some activities that are outside the subject contract. For Colorado the bottom line is that we initially committed a total of $600,000.00 and we are adding $100,000.00. You will also note that the total expenditures under this agreement are presented as $650,362.72. The reason that there is a difference ($650,362.72 versus $700,000.00) is because when the original contract was routed the difference in these values $49.637.28 had previously been expended under a separate contract for the Platte River project, and the original contract limit with the Nebraska Communiry Foundation should have been reduced by that amount. Therefore, the net effect of this Amendment is to increase the contract amount by $50,362.72. You may also note that on a percentage basis at a specific time the percentages may not match exactly because the timing of when each participating entity makes a payment to Nebraska Community Foundation can differ. The billings to each participating entity are continually adjusted to bring the percentages in line with the total percentage and dollar amount required under the contract.
