Walcher
Execuuve Direccor
Dan McAu(iffe
Acting Director
StLbject; Modification to the Qriginal Agreement for Admuustrative Support to the Govemance
Committee and Executive Director for the Platte River Endangered Species Partnership
Attached please find a modification -to the Cooperative Agreement No. 99-FC-60-1 I 870 between the
Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation; States of Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming; and the
Nebraska Community Foundation for Adm.inistzative Support to the Govemance Committee and
Executive Director jor the Platte Rive: Endanaered Species Partnership (Agreement) . Also please note
that a late justification is also being requested as the perfarmance period is thzough September 30, 2000.
The original Agreement, Contract Encumberance Number C 153878, Furid Number 100, Appropriation
Code R 018 and 018, Fund Number 12 H, Appropriation Code PRB, and GBL PRB requires a time
extension for the period of performance through March 31, 2000 (originally through September 30, 2000).
The referenced Agreement is administratively complex primarily due to the numerous parties involved
which include multiple public (state and federal) and pnvate parties. The parties to the Agreement had
agr°ed that a time extension to the period of perforznance was required (no additional funds are requested).
Thc United States Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation ir.itiated a Modifzcation to
Assistance Agreement 99-FC-60-11870 (attached as Modification 003). Upon receipt of this signed
modif cation ir came to my attention that the modification to the Agreement required the signatuzes of all
t:ie parties to the Agreement whicb for Colorado means that the Principle Representative, Controllers
Office, and Attomey General's Office all need to sign the modification to render it binding.
Flood Procection • Wacer Project Planning and Financing • Stream and Lake Procecnon
Water Supply Procection • Conservarion Pta,,,.;....
