RESOLUTION 2008-4-1 <br />PLATTE CANYON WATER AND SANITATION DISTRICT <br />ARAPAHOE AND JEFFERSON COUNTIES. COLORADO <br />A RESOLUTION TO ADOPT A WATER EFFICIENCY AND CONSERVATION PLAN <br />FOR PLATTE CANYON WATER AND SANITATION DISTRICT. <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Directors (Board) of Platte Canyon Water and Sanitation <br />District (District) recognizes and supports the need to promote, encourage and achieve the <br />efficient use of water, and; <br />WHEREAS, the District is contractually obligated and is committed to support and <br />implement Denver Water Operating Rules pertaining to water conservation which are <br />incorporated herein as Exhibit A, and; <br />WHEREAS, the District is contractually obligated and is committed to support Denver <br />Water's Tap Smart Water Conservation Master Plan which is incorporated herein as Exhibit B, <br />and; <br />WHEREAS, the District has taken additional actions and performed additional activities <br />to promote water efficiency and water conservation over and above the activities and measures ~ <br />incorporated in Denver Water's Operating Rules and Tap Smart Water Conservation Master Plan i ~, <br />as described in Exhibit C which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, and; ~ <br />WHEREAS, the Board agrees to periodically review and amend the District's water <br />efficiency and conservation plan as it deems appropriate but not later than seven (7) years after <br />adoption, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Board desires to obtain approval of this water efficiency and <br />conservation plan by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in accordance with C.R.S. 37-60- <br />126, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Board published notice in newspapers in general circulation within the <br />District boundaries as well as on the District's web site for a public hearing to receive comments, <br />questions and suggestions relative to this water efficiency and conservation plan, and; <br />WHEREAS, the Board has conducted a public hearing held on April 25, 2008 and <br />thereafter considered, and evaluated comments received by the public and incorporated said <br />comments and suggestions into the water efficiency and conservation plan as appropriate, <br />
