Feasibility Evaluation of the Arkansas Valley Pipeline <br />Water Works! Committee <br />July 2003 <br />Section 7 -Recommendations <br />The recommendations resulting from Phases 1 and 2 of this study are summarized below: <br />1. The Waterworks! Committee should continue to promote the implementation of the <br />proposed Arkansas Valley Pipeline Project. The proposed Arkansas Valley Pipeline <br />offers a more reliable and higher quality water supply than would otherwise be available <br />to the water users of the Lower Basin. <br />2. The participating agencies should create an institution that has the directive to implement <br />the Arkansas Valley Pipeline Project. The institution must have the authority to pursue, <br />receive, and disburse federal, state, and local grants and other revenue sources for <br />construction of the pipeline. <br />3. The institution created to implement the Arkansas Valley Pipeline Project should <br />aggressively pursue federal and state funding grants and loans for the construction of the <br />pipeline. <br />4.
