Water Supply Planning and Finance - En-bloc and Referred Non-Reimbursable <br />Investment Recommendations -CWCB -Stream Restoration/Flood Hazard Mitigation <br />Program <br />Tape 2, Track 3 01:44:20 - 02:19:04 <br />Action: A revised motion was made by Russell George, and seconded by John Redifer to <br />approve Staff's recommendations that the Board request that the General <br />Assembly authorize up to $150,000 annually for anon-reimbursable investment <br />from the CWCB Construction Fund to be appropriated to the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board for technical activities related to the Watershed Restoration <br />and Flood Mitigation Program. The request is to provide funds for planning and <br />engineering services for paying approximately half of the cost of needs <br />assessment and prioritization planning efforts for each of Colorado's 8 major <br />river basins, for preparing watershed restoration plans for individual watersheds <br />within those river basins. The use of the CWCB funds, if authorized by the <br />Board and the General Assembly, would be available for watershed restoration <br />and flood mitigation studies and projects throughout the state. The refreshing of <br />the fund would be requested by staff on an annual basis. The revised motion was <br />seconded by John Redifer. The motion was approved (8-0).
