Project Name: Phase 2 Economic Life, Denver Basin Aquifer Study AGENCY# ~ ' ., Performance Period: February 1997 to Aug 1997 ROUTiNG# d lo~[S~ Fiscal Year: 1996 CONTRACT# ;~__ "~~~ _ ~_ Amount: Part A 530,000.00; Part 6 533,500.00 CONTRACT AGREEMENT This Contract, made this 21 day of February, 1997, by and between the State of Colorado for the use and benefit of the Department of Natural Resources, Colorado Water Conservation Board, hereinafter referred to as the State, and HRS Water Consultants, Inc. located at 200 Union Blvd., Suite 200, Lakewood CO 80228, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor. WHEREAS, authority exists in the Law and Funds have been budgeted, appropriated and otherwise made available, the sufficient unencumbered balance thereof remains available far payment of a total of 5 30,000.00 from Fund No. 424, APPR. 625, Object Code 1920, Contract Encumbrance No. ;and WHEREAS, the Division of Water Resources and The Colorado Water Conservation Board have been authorized and directed through SB 96-153, Section 10, to conduct or have conducted under the direction of the State Engineer and Director of the Colorado Water Conservation Board the technical analysis of the economic life of the Denver Basin Aquifer; and WHEREAS, the scope of work has been reviewed and approved by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and, WHEREAS, the contractor's response to RFP PEA-703V was selected as the best value to the State and is attached as Exhibit A; and, WHEREAS, required approval, clearance and coordination has been accomplished from and with appropriate agencies; and NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed that A. Background and Genera! Scope of Work: The Scope of Work is Attached as Exhibit A; which consists of the proposal for Phase 2 analysis of the Denver Basin Aquifer prepared by HRS Water Consultants Inc. The Schedule B: (Table 2) work plan are to proceed only upon the written notice by the State. Page 1 of 8
