In addition, outlets shall be capable of passing inflow to the reservoir with a
minimum of 10 feet of head in order to meet the demands of downstream water rights and
the owners' release requirements."
• The outlet works must provide a low-flow demand of about 2.5 cfs and be capable of
releasing 100 cfs from the reservoir at most water surface elevations.
3.6 Engineering Geology
The LPWCD contracted with Hepworth-Pawlak Geotechnical, Inc. (H-P) to perform a feasibility-
level engineering geology evaluation of the LHR site to evaluate geologic conditions that could
have a major impact on project feasibility and to provide a basis for future design-level studies.
After visiting the LHR site in January 2003, H-P prepared a report based on field observations,
interpretation of aerial photographs, and H-P's experience with similar projects.
