• of Guidelines and Specifications for Flood Ha~:ard Mapping Partners, CWCB shall make the following <br />products available to FEMA: <br />• Digital work maps showing the 1- and 0.2-percent-annual-chance floodplain boundary <br />delineations, regulatory floodway bouridary delineations, cross sections, BFEs, flood insurance <br />risk zone labels, and all applicable bas~~ map features; <br />• DFIRM mapping files, prepared in accordance with the requirements in Guidelines and <br />Specifications for Flood Hazard Mapping Par•tners; <br />• Metadata files describing the DFIRM ciata, including all required information shown in <br />Guidelines and Specifications for Flood Hazard Mapping Partners; <br />• Complete set of plots of DFIRM panels showing all detailed flood hazard information at a <br />suitable scale; <br />• Documentation that describes and provides the results of all automated or manual QA/QC review <br />steps taken during the preparation of tY~e DFIRM; <br />• Any backup or supplemental information used in the mapping required for the independent <br />QA/QC review outlined under Activit}~ 11; and <br />• An explanation far the use of existing ~~opography for the studied reaches, if appropriate; <br />• NSP Format Mapping Database ar Inte;rmediate Data Delivery consistent with the NSP Data <br />Capture Standards. <br />• Appendix N may be downloaded from the FE1~~A Flood Hazard Mapping Web site at <br />http://~~v~~-.fema. oi=lpdf/fhu~/fim s~ana.pdf. <br />Activity 10B - Floodplain Map~~ing (Itefinement or Creation of Zone A) <br />Responsible Mapping Partner: CWCB <br />Scope: CWCB shall delineate the 1-percent-aru~ual-chance floodplain boundaries for the flooding sources <br />identified in Table 1-1. CWCB shall use existing topographic data or the topographic data acquired under <br />Activity 4 to delineate the floodplain boundarif;s on a digital work map. In addition, CWCB shall address <br />all concerns or questions regarding Activity l OB that are identified by FEMA/NSP during the <br />indeperident QA/QC review under Activity 11. <br />CWCB shall redelineate all approximate Zone A floodplain boundaries contained in the effective FIRM <br />using the best available topographic data and/~r aerial photography. Redelineation of Zone A's shall be <br />in confi~rmance with FEMA guidelines, including the data quality standards documented in Section 7 of <br />the MH"IP for FY 2004-2008. The floodplain boundary data quality standards outlined in Table 7-1 of the <br />MHIP should be followed in addition to existing standards specified for floodplain mapping in the <br />Guidelines, including Volume I, Section 1.4 an~d Appendices C, D, E, F, G, H, K, L, M, and N. <br />CWCB may expand on the approaches for analyzing Zone A areas outlined in Guidelines and <br />Specifications for Flood Hazard Mapping Partners and in FEMA 265, Managing Floodplain <br />Development in Approximate Zone A Areas (April 1995), and/or develop new approaches. Such <br />approaches must be coordinated with the FEM.A Regional Project Officer identified in Section 11 of this <br />.
