TOWN OF BENNETT, CO WATER WELL NO.5-R PUMP/PIPING INVITATION TO BID Sealed Bids will be received by The Town of Bennett hereinafter referred to as OWNER, at the offices of RG Consulting Engineers, Inc. (the CONSULTANT) located at: 1331 17th Street, Suite 710, Denver, CO 80202 until 10 A.M., local time, April 3, 2008 for the installation of piping, pump and other items necessary to complete recently-drilled Water Well 5-R. Address bids to Mr. Matthew Reay, Town Administrator in c/o RG Consulting Engineers, Inc. At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Contract provides for the construction of piping and valves, and installation of an appropriate pump and other items necessary to complete recently-drilled Well No. 5-R, located in the Town of Bennett. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from RG Consulting Engineers, Inc., 1331 17th Street, Suite 710, Denver, Colorado 80202 upon payment of $25.00 per set. No partial sets will be issued. No refunds will be made. Bidding documents will be available on March 18, 2008. The bidding documents may be examined at the office of the CONSULTANT. The successful BIDDER must be a licensed contractor in the State of Colorado. Bids received on other than a unit price as described in the Bidding documents shall be deemed non-responsive and will be rejected. Work at the site is expected to be commenced by the date that will be specified in the Notice to Proceed. Completion of the Work is required as specified in the Bid Form, and to be specified in the Agreement and the Notice to Proceed. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the total bid Price must accompany each Bid in the form specified in the Instructions to BIDDERS. Said bid security shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages should the successful BIDDER fail to enter into a contract with the OWNER in the accordance with the bid proposed as described in the bidding documents. The successful BIDDER will be required to furnish a performance bond and a labor and materials payment bond. No bid may be withdrawn within a period of forty five (45) days after the date fixed for Opening Bids. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed 45 days after the bid opening and to waive any informalities and irregularities therein, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interest of the OWNER.
