SUMMARY OF TASKS <br />Following is a detailed summary of the Scope of Work needed to complete the design, <br />permitting and construction of the proposed Eagle Park Reservoir Enlargement. The <br />description of each task in the Scope of Work includes a summary of the activities to be <br />undertaken and the final work products and deliverables to be produced. Tables 3 and 4, <br />following the task descriptions, summarize the schedule and budget for completion of the <br />Scope of Work. A list of technical and legal consultants retained for this project is <br />provided in Part B, Section 6. <br />Task 1: Reservoir Enlargement Design Engineering and Application to the Office of <br />the State Engineer <br />The activities and work products included in this task involve the preparation of final <br />design drawings and specifications, completion of construction bid and contract <br />documents and consultation with the State Engineer's Office (SEO) during their review <br />of the plans and specifications for the project. <br />Task 2: Geotechnical Investigations <br />A complete dam safety geotechnical analysis has been completed by GEI Consultants and <br />included in the application that has been submitted to the SEO for the review of the plans <br />and specification for the project. The Geotechnical Analysis included the following <br />activities: <br />o Review of available site information related to geotechnical investigations for <br />the existing Eagle Park Dam. <br />o Drilling of seven exploratory boreholes at the existing Dam with <br />documentation of drilling operations, logging of soil and bedrock samples and <br />laboratory analysis of samples. <br />o Preparation of the Geotechnical Data Report to summarize the field <br />investigation and the laboratory testing programs. <br />o Investigation of dam embankment and foundation conditions. <br />o Stability and deformation analysis of the dam embankment. <br />o Analysis of seepage through the dam embankment and foundation. <br />o Installation of piezometers in the dam embankment and foundation. <br />o Investigation of subsurface conditions along the spillway channel for use in <br />the design of the spillway improvements. <br />o Preparation of the Geotechnical Evaluation Report. <br />Additional work under this task may be required to address questions and issues that may <br />arise in the permitting processes. <br />Task 3: Environmental Studies and Permitting <br />The activities included in this task involve the preparation of applications for an Army <br />Corps of Engineers Section 404 Pernlit and supporting Nation Environmental Policy Act <br />(NEPA) compliance documentation.
