HEADGATE 396 LATERAL CORPORATION <br />DITCH REHABILITATION <br />Proiect Descriution <br />T'he Headgate 396 Lateral Corporation manages the 396 Lateral for its members that own water <br />rights and land served by the Ditch. The existing ditch system was comprised of an open, grass-lined <br />channel, approximately 7 miles in length, with a carrying capacity of 4.3 cfs, servicing approximately 220 <br />acres. This project involved enclosing the existing ditch with 6 to 12 inch PVC pipe, with metered delivery <br />points. The project was designed by Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), Grand Junction <br />Office and commenced construction in fall/winter of 2006/07 and was completed in May of 2007. The <br />final construction cost was $229,998, which was reduced to a final loan balance of $128,991, upon <br />receiving NRCS's project payment of $100,007. <br />Proiect Data <br />Sponsor: Headgate 396 Lateral Corp.
