• <br />• <br />0 <br />YOUNG CREEK RESERVOIR COMPANY <br />RESERVOIR NO. 1 -2 REHABILITATION PROJECT <br />. - _ - <br />A, <br />Repairing Sink Holes along Left Abutment <br />Project Description <br />The Young Creek Reservoir Company provides irrigation water to a 400 acre service area in <br />Delta County, near the Town of Cedaredge, Colorado. The Company owns and operates <br />reservoir No. 1 -2, a combined reservoir and reservoir No. 3. Reservoir No. 1 -2 has had a long <br />history of seepage problems and the reoccurrence of sinkholes immediately upstream from the <br />dam. Reservoir No. 1 -2 is a Class 2 facility, with a 505 foot dam length, 46 -feet in height, with <br />a 15 -foot crest width. This project involved an extended monitoring program and minor repairs <br />to address seepage and existing sink holes. The geo- synthetic membrane lining along and below <br />the face of the dam, as originally scoped, was not pursued by the Company at this time, given <br />cost and immediate need. <br />Project Data <br />Sponsor: Young Creek Reservoir Company County: Delta Water Source: Young Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $94,705 @2.5% for 30 -yrs.
