'° ; tx ; ~ f'S~ ~ Liz, `" `F <br />New Concrete Diversion Structure at the Mancos River <br />Proiect Description <br />The Mancos Valley Beaver Ditch Company manages the Beaver Ditch for 4 members that own water rights <br />and land served by the Ditch. The existing ditch system was comprised of an open, grass-lined channel, <br />approximately 4.6 miles in length, with a carrying capacity of 10.5 cfs. This project involved enclosing the <br />existing ditch with 10-18-inch PVC pipe, with metered delivery points. The project was designed by <br />Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) Cortez Office and commenced construction in spring of <br />2006. The project loan was amended at the January 2006 Board Meeting from $413,000 to approximately <br />$914,000 to cover increase pipe costs and items not included in the original cost estimate. The final <br />construction cost was $790,943, which was reduced to a final Ioan balance of $250,491, upon receiving <br />NRCS's project payment of $540,452. <br />Proiect Data <br />Sponsor: Mancos Valley Beaver Ditch Co.
