Fiscal Year - End Status Report <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board Project <br />30 June 2008 <br />Colorado State University Water Resources Archive <br /> <br />Funds were given to the Water Resources Archive by the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />to pay to digitize archival mat erials and mak e them available on the Internet. Selections for <br />digitization include : <br />48 maps - Papers of Delph E. Carpenter and Family <br /> <br />o <br />309 maps - Larimer Count y District Court Map Collection <br /> <br />o <br />956 slides - Ival V. Goslin Water Resources Collection <br /> <br />o <br />380 slide s - Groundwater Data Collection <br /> <br />o <br />~ 4,800 pages - Ival V. Goslin Water Resources Collection <br /> <br />o <br />~1,400 pages - Colorado Water Congress Collection <br /> <br />o <br />51 pages - Groundwater Data Collection <br /> <br />o <br />This totals nearly 8,000 pages and items. <br /> <br />Digitization of all materials has b een completed . Maps were digitally photographed on CSU’s <br />campus. These images have been delivered and are in the process of being quality checked as <br />well as having metadata created . Slides and papers were shipped to a vendor in Canada. A disk <br />of the files is being sent, and quality control and metadata application will begin once it is <br />received. <br /> <br />Final file preparation and loading of the map files is planned for late July. The other materials <br />will follow as soon as possible afterwards. Digital files will al so be linked from the collections’ <br />finding aids. Publicity about the online materials will occur in various venues throughout the <br />fall. <br /> <br /> <br />Funding received: $20,000 <br /> <br />Funds spent: Digitization of 357 maps $ 5331.75 <br /> Shipment of boxes to Canada 345.2 7 <br /> Total to date $5677.02 <br /> <br />Payments pending: Digitization of ~ 7,5 00 pages/slides ~$3847 <br /> <br />Total for digitization: ~$9524 <br /> <br />Remainder of funding will pay for staff to create metadata, finalize files, and load everything <br />into the digital content mana gement system. <br /> <br /> <br />
