Alternative Agricultural Water Transfer Methods -Grant Application Form <br />January 2008 <br />Engineering data and analysis will be the responsibility of Brown and Caldwell; environmental <br />data and analysis pertaining to waterfowl habitat will be accomplished by DU; environmental <br />data and analysis pertaining to water quality will be completed by Brown and Caldwell; legal, <br />regulatory, and administrative data and analysis will be the responsibility of Lind, Lawrence & <br />Ottenhoff and Brown and Caldwell; economic data and analysis will be accomplished by the <br />C?1RRI and Brown and Caldwell; and institutional data and analysis will be the responsibility of <br />all Team members. <br />? Description of the major deliverables/products that will be produced upon successful completion of <br />the task: <br />All appropriate data and analyses will be summarized in technical memoranda which form the <br />basis for selecting the three specific projects which will employ alternative agricultural water <br />transfer methods . This technical memoranda will also be included in the project summary <br />report (see Task 7). <br />Task 4: Select Three Specific Projects Using Alternative Agricultural Water Transfer Methods <br />Description of task: <br />The data produced in Task 3 will be reviewed and evaluated and three projects from the list of <br />candidate projects will be selected for implementation. <br />? Method or procedure that will be used or followed to accomplish the task and ident? who will <br />undertake the task: <br />Because DU will be the entity that ultimately works with the landowners or manages the water <br />from each property and assists the landowner in making application in ?Xlater Court change cases, <br />DU will have the lead in selecting the three specific projects but will consult with other team <br />members. <br />? Description of the major deliverables/products that will be produced upon successful completion of <br />the task: <br />There will be no major deliverables to the State from this task; the CwCB Project Manager, <br />however, will be informed after the selection of the three specific projects and which alternative <br />agricultural water transfer methods will be employed in these specific projects. <br />Task 5: Produce Detailed En?ineerin?, Economic, and Institutional Data for the Three Selected Projects <br />Sufficient to Facilitate Implementation of the Three Selected Projects. <br />? Description of task: <br />This task will produce sufficient preliminary data to allow DU to begin acquisition of land and <br />water required for implementaflon of the project and the initiation of project implementation <br />(historic return flows, historic consumptive use, irrigation efficiencies, ditch losses, exchange <br />capacity in South Platte River).
