Alternative Agricultural Water Transfer Methods -Grant Application Form
January 2008
could be established. To this end, the Colorado Corn Growers Association has suggested that
terms used in long term or permanent leases could include triggers to assess and realign lease
payments to respond to market conditions. As a potential water user, the City of Aurora can
provide input on potential lease terms and levels of compensation.
i) The quantity of water produced by the proposed project/program. Preference will be given to
programs drat can address larger water supply needs.
Ducks Unlimited has constructed numerous wetland recharge projects involving alternative
agricultural water transfer methods. Consumptive use yield from projects completed by DU has
ranged from 1,000 acre-feet per year to 3,000 acre-feet per year. It is anticipated that the three
proposed projects to be developed under this effort will result in recharge credits that are in the
range of 2,500 to 4,000 acre-feet per year. These projects, along with knowledge and perspective
gained from other projects, will provide much of the basis for the Business Plan which will allow
for more efficient and rapid implementation of alternative agricultural water transfer methods
throughout Colorado.
6. Please provide the proposed scope of work. On the following page there is an example format for the
Scope of Work. You can use the example format or your own format, provided that comparable
information is included.
The scope of work should outline by task how the proposed program/project will be accomplished. It is
important that the scope of work detail the specific steps, activities/procedures that will be followed to
accomplish each individual task and the overall program/project and the specific products/deliverables that
will be accomplished.
The scope of work must include but not be limited to: task description, key personnel, budget, schedule and
deliverables and the final report/project documentation upon completion of the water activity.
Scope of Work
The scope of work will form the basis for the contract between the Applicant and the State of Colorado. In short,
the Applicant is agreeing to undertake the work for the compensation outlined in the scope of work and budget,
and in return, the State of Colorado is receiving the deliverables/products specified. The proposed scope of work
is presented below:
20
