Consent Agenda Item l .b
Case No. 3-08CW010: Application of Robert Gregg Sease
Application Summary
This is an application for approval of a plan for augmentation in Saguache County near the Town
of Saguache. The Applicant has constructed several ponds and ditches on his property and is
apparently diverting water out-of priority into these structures. The Applicant lists two sources
of augmentation: the Sheep Creek Ditch and Tarbell Ditch. The Applicant proposes to dry up
some lands under the Sheep Creek Ditch and apply the consumptive use credits to offset
evaporative depletions. The Applicant also proposes to purchase or lease transmountain water
from the Tarbell Ditch as an additional augmentation source.
CWCB Appropriation
The C~UCB holds the following instream flow water rights that could be injured by this
application:
CWCB StreamlLake Amount Approp. watershed County
Case No. cfs Date
3-82CW226 Sheep Creek 2 10/7/82 Saguache Creek Saguache
3-82CW208 Saguache Creek 8/5 10/7/82 Saguache Creek Saguache
Potential for Injury
The Applicant's proposed plan for augmentation may injure the Board's instream flow water
rights on Sheep Creek and Saguache Creek by not replacing depletions in time, amount and
ocatlon.
Other Objectors
Statements of Opposition were also filed by Perry L. Hazard, Renee Hazard, and the State and
Division Engineers.
