Mark Levorson of URS described the impact that natural gas drilling in Garfield County is <br />having on water supplies. Drilling activities can permit saline water from deep water aquifers to <br />migrate up through vertical fractures into potable water supplies, and permit saline plumes to <br />migrate to the Colorado River. <br />3. The CBRT discussed the CWCB's denial of the Roaring Fork Watershed and Grand County <br />Stream flow Management Plan grant applications on the grounds that they constitute <br />unacceptable challenges to Colorado water law. <br />2. Lane Wyatt reported on the Non-Consumptive Needs Assessment committee progress. The <br />NCNA committee selected the Roaring Fork River and the Colorado River between Kremmling <br />and Dotsero in order to do model NCNAs. <br />3. Rod Sharp discussed educational town meetings, and suggested that each CBRT Roundtable <br />member schedule a town meeting in their area promoting the CBRT process. <br />April 28, 2008 <br />Eric Kuhn discussed his draft "Vision for a West Slope Water Future." <br />2.
