Consent Agenda Item l .c <br />Case No. 5-08CW036: Application of Douglas Zook <br />Application Summary <br />This is an application for change of water right, surface water rights, ground water rights, storage <br />rights, and approval of a plan for augmentation, including exchange in Grand County near Granby. <br />The Applicant seeks the following: <br />1. Change of water rights for Adams Spring No. l (15 gpm, abs) and Adams Spring No.2 (15 <br />gpm, abs) from livestock, fire protection and irrigation to include domestic, other outside <br />uses and uses in Zook Pond Nos. 2 through 4. The new uses will be associated with <br />development on certain lots within a Subdivision. The appropriation date for the springs is <br />August 19,1955. <br />2. Surface water rights for Adams Spring No.l and Adams Spring No. 2 for an additional 35 <br />gpm, each, with an appropriation date of December 23, 2007. <br />3. Ground water rights for Well Nos. 1 through 16 for 15 gpm each. Except for Well No.l, <br />which has absolute right for 15 gpm with an appropriation date of June 1996, the rights <br />requested are conditional with an appropriation date of March 19, 2008. <br />4. Storage rights for Zook Pond Nos. 1 through 4 for 4 AF, each, with right to fill and refill <br />continuously when in priority. Applicant seeks absolute water rights for Ponds 1 and 2 with <br />appropriation dates of 12/31/2000 and 4/30/1979 respectively; and appropriation date of <br />3/19/2008 for Ponds 3 and 4. The uses for these ponds are irrigation, fire protection, <br />stockwatering, augmentation, piscatorial, fish and wildlife, and aesthetic. The ponds maybe <br />filled with water from one or more of the following sources: Vail Ditch No.2 (a change of <br />use has not been requested), Well Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4; Adams Spring Nos. l & 2. <br />5. Approval of a plan for augmentation including exchange to replace out-of priority depletions <br />from the above structures.
