LPCDC operates the Lincoln Park Crooked ditch for the benefit of the shareholders, providing
irrigation water. The ditch diverts from the north west portion of Lincoln Park, where water is delivered
through approximately 62,600 linear feet of ditch piping (concrete and open ditch), servicing approximately
500 acres.

The ditch has been in service since 1891. No major upgrades to the 'feeder' sections of ditch piping has
occurred since its construction. The existing, original piping (hand-poured concrete) has weathered and
worn over the years, and there are a significant amount of leaks in the system due to age, and use
deterioration.

The LPCD wishes to replace the major "feeder" piping, and the most problematic areas in order to abate
water losses, and improve system reliability.

May 2006

Introduction

5

Lincoln Park Crooked Ditch Company
