Several landslide areas along the Welch Ditch that continued to create high maintenance and
water delivery problems for the company necessitated the project. Mountain States Engineering
Associates, Inc. of Lakewood prepared the project design. The pipeline, constructed by T. Lowell
Construction, Inc. of Castle Rock, and the pump station and dropout~structure, constructed by
Jennison Construction Co. of Littleton, commenced November 3, 1997 were completed in July
1998.
