Water Supply Reserve Account - Grant Application Form <br />Form Revised May 2007 <br />Please provide a brief narrative of any related or relevant previous studies. <br />Graduate students under the supervision of Kurt Fausch, Deanna Dzurnford, and Ramhand Oad at Colorado State <br />University have been conducting an ongoing integrated study of the agricultural uses, hydrology, and.fish <br />habitat along the live reach of the Arickaree since 2003. The students involved are .Ieff Falke, Ryan <br />O 'Banning, Lisa Fardal, ,Steve Griffin, Eric Wachob, Linda Riley, and Angela Squires. Several ofthe students <br />have written their thesises based on this research, and some papers are in preparation for publication. <br />The Colorado Division of Water Resources has studied and modeled the Arickaree River as part of its work regarding <br />compliance with the Republican River Compact <br />In 2000, The Nature Conservancy obtained a Report on the Hydrology of the Arickaree River in South Yuma County, <br />CO. The report investigated the hydrology , Of the river relative to the species and systems that depend on <br />surface and shallow groundwater along the river. <br />The Colorado Natural Heritage Program prepared a 1998 report on Riparian Vegetation of the South Platte and <br />Republican River Basins. <br />22
