Evaluation Criteria
A. -Addresses Multiple Needs: Yes, the project is intended to provide water for domestic,
irrigation and environmental purposes in a coordinated manner.
B. -Collaboration of Consumptive and Non-Consumptive Interests: Yes, the project is intended to
provide water for traditional consumptive uses as well as instream uses, in a collaborative and
coordinated manner.
C. -Need for Funding: West Divide does not have funds allocated to fully implement this project
in 2008. A cooperative landowner is currently interested in pursuing this project. Any delay in
project implementation may adversely affect the viability of this project.
D. -Urgency of Need: About 20 residential water users in the Crystal River watershed no longer
have a reliable legal water supply. This project is needed to firm these residential water supplies
and to prevent injury to senior water rights.
E. -Len h of Time: This feasibility study can be completed in 2008, with construction planned
for 2009.
F. -Available Expertise: Nest Divide has constructed, operated and managed storage reservoirs,
pipelines and pump facilities.
G. - Matching I In-Kind Funds: The District proposes to provide $15,000 of matching funds.
H. - Other Funding: The sponsoring entity has a demonstrated need for financial assistance.
