North Platte Basin Roundtable 06.17.2008 4
Barb V: it's a group of people we hope can advise CNHI' on which properties to study.
We haven't pulled the group together yet because we don't lalow if there is going to be a
study yet.
Kent C: any other members have questions? Are we ready to Vote?
Jim B: I thii~lc we answered most of the questions the last time we went through the
application.
Jim Baller motioned to vote.
Jolu1 Rich seconded.
Official voting action by the roundtable:
John Rich: Yes
Tom Hackleman: Yes
Jim Baller: Yes
Ty Wattenberg: Yes
Hal Hagen: Yes
Riclc Wyatt: No
Barbara Vasquez: Yes
Kent Crowder: Yes
Mike Allnutt: No
Dirk Ramsey: Absent
Sandra Knox: Absent
Dave Meyring: Absent
Mike Hoiiliolz: Absent
Application approved by majority of voting members present
Minority opinion is consistent with last vote.
Water Supply Reserve Account Application; Nolan Doesken, .Saute Cli~aatologist,
Evapotranspiration in the North Platte Basin:
Nolan is unable to be present at the meeting to answer questions, as he is in Texas, but
Debbie Alpe is available to answer questions if needed.
Debbie A: a note about the CSU overhead: Modified Total Direct Cost (MTDC), the
$24,000 set aside for the 3 stations will not include an overhead charge. The overall
overhead for the total project is 12.4 percent, because they deduct the $24,000 for the
hardware.
Kent C: we have confirmation from Nolan that it is a 50/50 application, basin and state.
Split the budget, or just divide it in half.
Debbie A: I got on the CoAgMet site, and pulled off some reports of the type of data we
would get from this study.
Barbara V: they consider it consumptive because they are looking at ET?
Debbie A: yes, this will help close the gap in the consumptive data in the northwest
portion of the state.
